$650 is too much for that intercooler which is still a "Tube & Fin" design.
Go with a "Bar & Plate" style if your going to spend that much......AMS, Buschur, Neisi, ect.

so what's the advantages of bar/plate over tube/fin?

Tube/fin style intercoolers are no worse than bar/plate if you get the right size of either.

Bar and plate has more mass doesn't it? I can't remember this crap any more but I believe the tube/fin is a bit less restrictive but bar/plate dissipates heat better?

Do the Research on IC's and you'll find why big companies don't make Tub and Fin IC's and if they do why no one buys them.

Bar & Plate will cool waaay more effecient than Tube and Fin by design

please explain this comment for those that aren't as intercooler literate as you. How does bar and plate cool "waaaay" more efficient? You make it sound like any idiot can put a bar and plate together, and make it outperform a fin/tube design. If you mean a bar and plate is more efficient due to the extra mass of metal that acts as a heat sink, I'm wif ya. Until it gets heat soaked, then it's a ***** to cool back down, "waaay" after the tube and fin is already cool.

I'm just trying to learn, so help me out. I spent a good deal of my 20's in college, learning all about chemical engineering, which includes heat exchanger design, but I'm always willing to learn more.

I guess Greddy and HKS have there head up their ***???
