What's under the gas pedal?

What's under the gas pedal?

I just barely noticed this black, plastic, disc shaped piece that goes under your gas pedal. Does anybody know why it's really there for?

Its a stop, nothing special, and no if you take it out it wont give you more horsepower or something like that... (i tried) ;-)

Not necessarily more hp, but I thought something along those lines. Man!, got my hopes up for nothing...

yeah i noticed that about the lancer but i did a test myself and it didnt open the throttel any more, haha

Yeah, if anything it will hurt performance, driving the butterfly valve past the point of full open and actually partially close in the opposite direction... no good.

Too bad ... I just notice that tonight while removing my Innovate wideband ( damn that thing )

Damn crazy hot and wet weather! humidity is so high that my LM-1 gone crazy since the rainning season started . ( well something went wrong with it and I'm still trying to re wire everything.
