Mini Battery Issues

The Odessey battery is not as good of a battery than the plain black one...according to Buschur, however they had to begin selling the Oddesy battery with their kits due to the Oddysey battery being so much cheaper. If I were you I would give it a good charge and if it keeps acting up...see if you can get a new one? good luck.

I feel our black battery is a better battery than the Odyssey battery. As was said, we had to switch to get our pricing down to match other companies that "copied" our battery kit and then used a cheaper battery.
The black battery we have on a stock ECU'd car will generally start no matter how cold it is. I haven't had much experience with the red top Odyssey as I only use the black batteries in my own cars. Our black battery carries a 1 year warranty where the Odyssey doesn't.
Sorry to hear you are having problems.

I have a Buschur mini battery in my Evo and a Hawker EP16 in my Camaro (externally identical to the Buschur battery). Both batteries are over 2 years old and going strong in any weather (I'm in the DC area). My secret? Connecting a Battery Tender AGM trickle charger (about $80) periodically in cold weather when the car isn't driven regularly. You just need to make sure you get the right kind of charger. With that occasional refresh, the battery starts just as well in cold weather as in warm weather.
