Murrieta Mitsu 5k mile service = $100?
Hello folks,
I recently got a GG Evo IX from Huntington Mitsu (THx Tom).
I live in Temecula and the closest dealer to me is Murrieta Mitsu. Herb (assistant service manager) tried charging me $109.99 but then "dropped" the price to $99.05.
The funny thing is that the guy that was taking my keys originally had quoted me $89.95.
Also, they mark up the MR's at that dealer to $39k.
Naturally I emailed Tom over at Huntington Beach Mitsu. Naturally he quotes me a significantly lower price, especially b/c I'm a member here.
What is everyone paying for their 5k service?

So I just got my car back from Murrieta Mitsu. Herb Rauch, the assistant manager for the service department told me that I would probably get a survey from JD powers and associates. He said that if I brought that survey into the dealership, I would be entered into a drawing for a Mitsubishi television.
Is it just me or is that kinda sketchy? I mean, those surveys always come with a postage paid return envelope.
So to recap my oil change experience at Murrieta Mitsu: Was told three different prices ($89/$109/$99) for my oil change/tire rotation by two different people.
Was offered a bribe of a Mitsubishi Television raffle for bringing in my JD power and associates survey.
Finally, was looking at a IX MR. MSRP around $36k and change +$3,000 "Limited Evo MR Supply" mark up.
I'm amazed these guys even stay in business.
