Tint and Defroster

I was wondering if I keep using defroster, it will affect the tint in anyway.

Discoloration, or peeling off?

Over time it will but tiniting 1 window is probably like 60-70 bux, I would just use your defroster, you will be ok for at least a few years.

As long as you use good tint it will not hurt it. I use Lumar and had it on a rear window for over 6 years with defrost and no problems at all.

The problem comes when they take it off to redo it. All that scraping with razor blades hurts. But other wise, I've had tint on a bunch of my cars and never had a problem with the rear window defrost not working or any discoloration or peeling. They've all been done in Llumar, I guess if that matters.

Get the 3M tint, non metallic one. A bit more $$$ but guaranteed for life to never discolor etc.
