FYI WEAPON R and INGALLS are not the same piece. Two diffferent companies with a similar product.

Don
Depending upon the material of the mount and overall construction, too stiff of an engine mount can increase vibration. When the engine mounts are stiff, they don't absorb the natural vibrations caused by the engine, which in turn sends them to the rest of the car and sometimes even the steering wheel (depending upon the car).

The car doesn't 'shake' per-say, but vibrations are increased.

i cant tell any added vibration with my front mount. I had the Ingall dampner and it induced added vibration and whine on the weak setting even. The mount seems to have a better feel to me than the dampner. Like buschur said a engine dampner does not limit the movement it just slows it down.

this one should have been answered a lot easier. The need for the ingalls stiffy is because of the poor quality of the stock front motor mount. You do not band-aid something to fix it, you find the original problem. Then front motor mounts are generally cheaper, and should not be all that difficult to install, if u have a general idea of what you're doing!

which one did you break Weapon R or ingalls? Did you have both and they both broke? I am confused? Ingalls warreties their parts and out of the several hundred evo dampers sold they haven't had one warrentied yet .. I think weapon r recalled theirs for the brackets recently? Just curious...

The Front engine mount is soo much cheaper but how hard is it to install?

I like the Idea of adjustability and the "bling factor" of the Damper but I also like the Idea of paying 40 bucks for a front mount.
for best results, install both. you will also want to get the tranny mount as well. Ralliart sells a kit with all the mounts in it. Gruppe-S has the kit for $189 i think. they also sell both kinds of engine damper...
