Yes, that's obvious from the photo, but I was just idly wondering what its power curve is when it's actually being driven, as opposed to being strapped to a dyno. I can't believe he gets those drag results with a turbo that doesn't really spool up until 7k rpm. My guess is that when you're accelerating the real car on a real track, the turbo has more time to spool up and reaches max boost well before 7k rpm.

That was my only point.

Between 2 step, anti-lag, and no lift to shift, that turbo will come on before 7K keep the boost.

Thats why drag cars have antilag, 2-step etc.

With a 6500rpm 2-step and 25-30 degrees of ignition retard on antilag, that turbo can build 30+psi out of the hole.

To make 7-sec power, you need an 74+mm turbo and whatever super hyper BB turbo you use that large, you will always have lag on a 2.0liter.

But once you build boost on the line, and can launch the car properly, and using
NLTS feature of the ECU, you wont notice any lag during the run.

Well, its the cams and HKS T51R turbo combination that they're running that makes that sort of torque and power.. I'm running their cams in my drag evo 3 and it makes over 50 wheel horsepower more than the HKS 272's. Its not easy to drive as you have a narrow power band therefore you either flat shift it all the way or drive it with a dog box setup...

Second quickest AWD car in the world with the power and MPH to make it number 1 and look at all the bashers. Watsup with you guys? Give the car credit. Its a helluva sweet drag car.

just because i was lol'ing at the low end HP doesn't mean i'm a basher. i'm sure the car is very good at what it's intended for.... having said that my car will be it in a race as long as we stay below 300rpm
