I think that before singing the praises of something like this, you should make sure you've already used it yourself. Yes, I agree that ECU+ is a good tool, and I even have a local friend who rips it down the 1/4-mile at every opportunity (Ivan_C), but it is a self-tuning device. Like any self-tuning device, there is inherent danger, and you have to do a lot of research so that you understand AFRs, timing, boost, EGTs, detonation, and how all of that inter-relates. Of course, we aren't all born with that knowledge, and you certainly can learn all that, but it's not something you just slap in and go on your merry way.
