I bet he meant a full TBE w/ testpipe (?)
I don't think a testpipe along gives 20whp... not even a set of cams will give you 20whp

I was told by a well known tuner that it will give at least 10 to 15 whp with a tune. I need to get rid of this ozone saver I got on my car

its a sold 10-15hp over the stock cat and solid 10 over a HFC. Its been proven 100times no need to argue about it.

If you get caught without it, 1st time...$140.00 next time see the judge and pay big $$$.
I don't think a few hp is worth it.

Ive been running catless (5 years, all my cars) along with everyone I know here in NJ and no one I know or have even heard a story of getting busted for no cat. Sounds more like a California thing.

I quoted someone from Texas that did get busted for catless.
In NJ if you catch the right cop at the right time it can cost you up $2k for the first time. I have a cat and am proud to do my part of keeping the air cleaner (and keep money in my pocket).

I gotcha. But like I said, my 2 brothers have been running catless for 6+ years, me for 5+, and tons of my DSM/EVO friends also, never a prob and we get pulled over and harrassed too, but never for that.

I've only heard of one local that got caught and it cost him $1500.00. I would rather use that for mods instead of 5 hp.
