Keep the WRX or buy the EVO

Ok i posted this on nasioc but its kinda bias cuz its a suby forum so i wanted to see what u guys think...anyways
should i keep my 02 wrx that i bought for about 13 and just painted or buy my uncles 03 evo that is completely stock (I like it that its stock though) The wrx has 75k miles and the evo has 45k miles. Hes only selling cuz he wants to get an suv/truck. Hes selling the evo for about 23k but he said he'll give it to me for only $18,000. what do u think? It will be easier for me just to keep the rex but if i want the evo i would have to part the car and sell the wrx and thats a hassle. help...and Please dont tell me to get a different car other than the used evo cuz i dont have the money. Thanks

02 WRX

After paint

It's a no-brainer as long as you're willing to part out the Rex. 18k for a stock Evo that hasn't been abused is the ticket.

Get the evo. It's a MUCH better performance car from every aspect. More power potential, better handling, better steering, more fun to drive. What else do you need to know?

IMO get the Evo. it's ur uncle's so u can trust the car he's selling plus he's giving you a really good price for it (18k is way under the value kbb gives for an 03 evo with 45k miles in "good" condition). many people have modded the heck out of rex's, but when they switched over to a stock Evo, they still prefer the stock Evo over a modded rex. plus when u start modding the Evo it's over i think goin to an Evo is a very good upgrade esp. for that price and the person u're getting the car from. not to mention the Evo has lower mileage than ur rex. just my 2 cents.

let us know what you decide to do at the end. good luck.

btw, i notice an ek hatch in one of ur pix....is that for sale let me know please, as i'm shopping for a cheap beater. thanks.

your wrx looks nice...IMO you won't find another evo in that clean condition and you can trust it since it's family for $18,000. I would buy the evo and then do some small bolt ons or leave it stock for a while. The WRX is nice though, what have you done to it. Looks like you have bride seats from the first pic. Hard decision

Those who recommend the WRX don't know the real difference. I have owned (notice I said owned) wrx and sti and both are no competition for evo.

If you want to step up in power and handling, get the evo. sounds like a good deal. if you are happy with what you have, save your money. Your WRX looks pretty sweet to me!

I have owned a WRX, STI and now an EVO. So I can easily say, "Keep the WRX" It's paid for, looks hella nice.

Like others have said, the EVO is an expensive toy to maintain.

keep the subie. I like the rear 04/05 conversion you got on it along with everything else. My sonic yellow Sub looks the same way.
