Are these rumors true??

My dealer is telling me that Mitsu will be licensing or authorizing their own line of mods. i.e. air intake, exhaust, etc. Is it true? He said, this will allow people to keep their warranties. He also said, that the part numbers will be available in January.

I am still stock because I do not want to void my warranty.

Thanks

Yes. It's the Ralliart line of performance products. There is a link on Mitsubishi's website.

Shouldn't think so. I mean it would be great if they are, but in Japan, 'official' mods are handled by Ralliart. Some of them you can get as an optional equipment to your car but not all, specailly the more hardcore ones.So stuff like gauges and earthing cables you can get with your car (hence warranty still not affected) while stuff like clutches, diffs and so on are _probably_ not covered.

I'm not sure how this ties in with the warranty in the US, but I would think it is unlikely to sell the parts under the Mitsubishi brand, perhaps they will be selling some Ralliart parts that do not affect the warranty in which case, you're probably looking at moderate power gains and a very high price tag.

I don't think thats for all Mitsu's just the one near Buschur that they deal with.

I believe TurboTrix also had upgrades like that through a Mitsu dealer located near them.

The only problem with Ralliart is that the parts are expensive, maybe they will drop now that they are available in the United States tho.

Heh, no, that's just the Buschur BR330/BR350 packages that started at one dealership and has now expanded to at least one other with more to come. Dave thought about going after the contract that Mitsu was seeking for standardized performance parts that would be sold via Ralliart NA, but he didn't end up pursuing it. This is a separate effort altogether from the BR330/BR350 packages.
