This is a 300C - is the Charger slower/heavier? Remember, I'm not concerned with magazine times. I'm only concerned with what real drivers do at real tracks.

I also never said a 12.7 was not possible on a IX. Hell, I'm quite SURE that I could take a IX and run a 12.7 right now. If they can trap 107mph, then they can hit 12.6s with an awesome 60ft and great driving, but 12.7 is more realistic for a really good driver. Anyway, on here we've only had IXs run 12.9s, but that's with average driving at best, which is why I said they must be giving credit for GREAT driving on BOTH cars.
If the tracks were open I'd let you take the IX for a try at the 12.7.

12.5 would be easy for the Charger, Big Torque, big engine, don't lift to shift, why not?

That's the final issue of R&T Speed... so sad. They had some great Evo stuff... The article was good, basically they say what we all know: That the big engine cars can rock on the straights and from pulls, and the Evo-type cars kill when turns and curves enter the equation...

Dammit, I've been petitioning for a few months, but couldn't find anyone crazy enough to let me try. Now it's off-season, and I'm SOL, haha. Thanks for the good faith, Girlie! Maybe a track will open up before I move to Colorado, but I doubt it.

you better hope you can run before you move to CO. It will be all you can do to repeat your times at that altitude!

Yeah, I know. I won't be hitting 11s up there at 6000' without cams at least.

4000lbs apparently. The IX is not as fast in a straight line, though.

12.5 is still damn fast for a 4000lb car. That's pretty impressive considering it's a spacious 4 door with all sorts of creature comforts, an automatic, navigation, etc. My wife would kill herself in that car if she didn't bankrupt us with the gas bill first.

By the way, did you get to see the Road and track magazine? they tested the STI vs the EVO9 MR

Hehe...great minds think alike.

Is that the R&T from last month? I think I read that article but there have a few "Evo vs. STi" comparisons lately.

yeah, we think alike(on some things). Anyway, this is a great oportunity for everyone that likes to collect the Evo magazines to go and get the two magazines(R&T and Speed). There is another magazine in which there is a Evo project , that is the turbo magazine but this was already covered a couple of weeks ago.

Well ladies and gentleman, go and grab yourself a magazine before they sold out, this is a great oportunity
