Relax son. 218 is what Buschur dynos the IX at. Minus 50 = 168.

WTF? One more time. Buschur dynos IX at 218 whp.
You said the VIII has fifty less whp. So, that would be 168 whp, right?

Let's try again...

You said:

"So, A VIII put out 168 hp on a Dynojet?"

You then said:

"Relax son. 218 is what Buschur dynos the IX at. Minus 50 = 168."

If you are so uninformed that you don't realize the problem here, then I really can't help you.

I also said this:

"IXs are dyno'ing 270-275whp on Dynojets with 93oct near sea level. 03-04s only did 225-235. You do the math...

If that doesn't make sense, then be advised that IX are consistently trapping 106-107mph on 93oct near sea level while 03/04s only do 102-103mph. Again, do the math."

Lastly, I also said this:

"03/04 Evos run 13.3 with as much as 40-50whp less than IXs"

Don't exaggerate by ONLY pointing out the 50. I gave a range of 40-50. Whether you want to believe it or not, it is true and has happened many times already. Just because you haven't been here to read all the dyno and drag racing threads regarding the 03s, 04s, 05s, and 06s, it doesn't mean you can act like the rest of us didn't see them.

LOL!You need to relax. Ok I meant Mustang dynos. I'm only going by Buschurs results (218) and your statement about the the 50 whp difference.

Its obvious the 50whp statement was about dynojets

I'm relaxed as can be. I'm responding to you as if you were a kindergartener...very relaxed but with really big letters to help you understand. Buschur has a Mustang Dyno...one that reads lower than any other dyno with much different percentages than Dynojets. Why would you continue to ignore my other statements about the actual Dynojet numbers and trap speed numbers only to continue mentioning Buschur's Mustang Dyno? It makes no sense...

I would simply like to know what the VIII dynos on a Mustang if the IX dynos 218. If you don't know that's OK. It's silly to get so worked up and start insulting people. I mean afterall,we're discussing Lancers!

I didn't get worked up, nor did I insult you. I'm simply putting things in terms that you can understand (hopefully). You're the one trying to deny everything the rest of us already know. You never once said, "Hey, so what does an 03/04 get on a Mustang Dyno?" No, what you did was try to refute my claim by asking if an 03/04 runs 168 on a dynojet by using Buschur's low-reading MD as a baseline. That was when I had to stoop to a lower level of explanation, one that a child may understand. I apologize if you take that as an insult. I take your unfounded and baseless questioning/argumenting/commenting as an insult to the entire Evo community.

Yeah, we're discussing Lancers. Thanks for showing your true colors finally...

I said that I meant a Mustang dyno. A simple mistake. One more time. If a IX puts out 218 on a Mustang, what would a VIII do in your most educated opinion?

180-190 on an 03/04 or 200-205 on an 05. You do realize not all VIIIs have the same power, right?. Why are you asking me what I "think" instead of reading the tons of threads where it's already been documented anyway? Hardly any MDs read alike, so it's not even a useful question.

Damn, I can't believe how much power is added by that new compressor cover. They make power but they also hold more boost then the 03-05's and a little leaner.

Whatever. You didn't ask for that until the very last post. You spend 2 pages arguing with me and now are backtracking after being proven ignorant of the facts.

Also, the numbers I gave you are pretty arbitrary, because that's only on one dyno and don't help you understand anything of importance.
