I say it depends on what you plan on doing. The most important handling mod for racing purpose (road racing/autocross) is a nice set of R-compounds. These will help you more than any set of coilovers. I prefer to use my spare set of Rota Torques for mounting race tires, which I use for real racing. I do not have coilovers yet, because I have not yet gotten to the point where I'm skilled enough to maximize the utility of the stock suspension.
If and when my skills match the stock suspension (or surpass it), I will get a nice set of coilovers to COMPLEMENT my race tires. I think that this should not be a decision of rims vs coilovers. It should be a decision of functionality vs functionality. If those rims are just for looking nice, then get the coilovers. If the rims are for having a spare set of rims for racing, then keep the rims. Put some r-comps on the Rotas or use those as daily drivers and put r-comps on your stock Enkeis.
