Anyone tried sanding down their wing and reclearing it?

Ive searched only found people getting them replaced for warranty. Im wondering if anyone has tried to sand it down and just reclear it. Im not sure if the oxidation in mine is in the clear or inbetween ...

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm going to have mine recleared when I get the one I have replaced under warranty. The gel coat on the wings just don't cut it.

I think you would be ok doing it. There is actually a decent amount of the gel coating between you and the CF.

My brother sanded my end pieces and recleared them for a full CF wing.

I've seen a "how too" on sanding down the wing on the VIII. Looks good on most cars.

Thank you, I used the how-to from socalevo.net

I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

I did it to my carbon fiber hood on my eclipse...well my dad did lol. Came out perfect. You gotta be careful with that though...you cant just sand it and then reclear..its takes many more steps.
