Wow and I thought I was bad. If you can afford it I guess more power to ya. By the way I got the Crystal Gray mettalic color because I love the way it looks and it seems like most WRX's are Blue. White would have been my next choice.

That is a horrible deal. You should have just bought the car. That way you actually have something to show for all your money spend. Also you car will be worth a lot less than $20k in five years. Those residual numbers that the dealer gives are usually accurate.

You could have leased a '06 STI for:
24 months at $486 a month.
36 for $448
42 for $429

I like the look of the 05's better. If I would have purchased it it would have been close to 600 a month.

If the car is worth less then the 13000 then the bank will take the loss and I will give them back the car. Its a win,win situation other then you will not own the car unless you decide to finance retial of the car at that point.
I'm sorry, but I don't think the car will be anywhere near $20k value after 65 months. Blue Book trade-in value on an '04 STI with 20,000 miles is $24k. That's only after 2 years and a fairly low 20,000 miles …

Even if they are worth 15k then thats still 2000 towards a new car. Also on my 05 I got all the options which include 6 in dash cd player, auto dimming mirror, short shifter pkg, and upgraded security system.

Tell yourself whatever you want to make it feel better, that's like lubing up after you're already deep in your chick's butt. Financially it makes no sense...but enjoy it

I've driven the Viii, IX, and STi. Try the IX, you'll switch back.

From the deal you got it looks like you should have just bought the car. 399 for 65 months ouch! I thought a typical lease only last 1-2 years, maybe 3 but not 5 1/2 years.
