There is no arguing here, the pint is very clear, the Evo 9 has a smaller cooling window on the bumper which directly blocks the airflow.

Actually, you might get better cooling. The 9 bumper looks almost like it was meant to be used with larger core. From this picture it looks like the only things that are blocked is the end tanks.



If it only blocks the end tanks then all the air will be forced to go through the core.
