you can... there are a variety of solutions... some problems are ground clearance in the rear... i know my friend had one and he'd always scrape coming out of his drive way... not a big deal but just a bit annoying.
for cars that run one lap having a tow hitch is pretty much a requisite. so... no shame in having one.

I have to introduce this idea over at the subaru forums. I think you guys forget you drive rally cars that do exceptionally well in many conditions and can hold up to a pretty severe beating. If you drove something like a ferrari, then Id repremand you, but you don't, you drive a $30k mitsubishi. I think this idea is rad, and will probably do it to get race gas and rubber to the track.

Notice in the owners manual where is says not to tow anything it shows a picture of a *camper trailor* behind the car (well, at least in my book). You guys shouldn't forget that these cars are sold in other countries where it is very popular to have a little travel trailor to haul around on the weekends.
Keep the tongue weight low and don't pull anything over 1000 lbs or so (which if you think about it, really isn't any different than have a full trunk and 3 passengers as far as weight distribution and load on the drivetrain, etc).

I towed 8 track wheel/tires to and from tracks all last summer using the trailer hitch provided by the member here 'rallytrack'. LIke mentioned earlier, he sold it to me for $130 or something. Works fine for me. Just keep the tongue weight at a minimum and be realistic about what you tow.

i used to work at u-haul, we had listings in our hitch catalog for many sports cars, and even some European exotics, i'm not saying that for those cars it is a good idea, but for the evo, especially for track equipment i think it would be great.
