alright, i remember reading a one page car and driver or motor trend article saying how the evo rs is more fun to drive because of the front lsd, toss it into a turn and it will powerslide for ever.

i was wondering how the front lsd really benifits the car, more predictable slides, better launches, ect.

and if the rs is worth sacraficing some creature comforts to have that front lsd.

Me personally... i like the amenimities of the GSR. I would imagine if you would buy a RS it would solely be for the purpose of tracking. Unless you have been driving for years the RS would not be the car you want to learn on.

 

I thought the RS doesn't come with the LSD, and the GSR does.

 

All Evos since 04 have front LSDs.

how does the front lsd affect handling?

 

Dont forget the aluminum roof

 

During hard cornering, it will transfer the power away from the inside wheel, which would be spinning, giving you better traction and pulling you through the corner.

 

Only the RS and MR have the aluminum roof.

 

03 and 04 GSRs have the same open diff in the front, 05 the LSD came standard when the ACD was added

 

and the 04 only the rs came with a LSD but all 05 and up all have LSD

 

If you 03-04 guys want better handling, spend like $150 and purchase a REAR Sway bar set it on medium, BAM, oversteer before understeer guaranteed.

 

rear swaybar will be one of the first mods, wether i get a evo or sti

just trying to see how the front lsd affects the handling.

 

Dude... test drive both.. LSD or ACCD .. each have their own ADVANtages... you will see the EVO is far superior... peace

 

i am a firm beleiver that the evo is far superior; only reason that im considering the sti is because of the additional torque, and that ohhh so sexy boxer rumble.

as far as i am concerned there will be an evo joining the 06 tl in the garage; but only time will tell.
