Coolant Ghost

The other day i noticed a large coolant leak on my o4 gsr with 11xxx. It came after a short drive with maybe one or 2 near redline pulls. Parked the car shut her down got out and immediatley coolant began to drip from a seam in the plastic covering under the front pass. side. I thought i pinpoitned where the leak was coming from so i threw a couple hose clamps on, and it dissappeared. a freind and i went out for a bit just messin around in third and fourth, i park the car and again enough coolant comes out to drain a quarter of the resivoir. Does any one have any advice???? IM the second owner and the car is modded so i dont think i have a chance with warranty. Again it leaks alot of coolant at random intervals??????coolant ghost?

I'd suspect freeze plugs or the water pump.

Check the TSB's for the coolant leak issue off the Turbo. I think it might pertain to just the 2005's but check around to make sure.

Also check the overflow tube after noticing the coolant coming out. If its coming out from there after getting in the boost a bit, it may be a headgasket issue. I know first hand because I had the same problem.

Are you still running the stock head studs?
