Lockout problems werent only assosciated with the act, considering act probably sells the most clutches, theres a reason why theres more problems with act. I had a lockout problem with my exedy HD twin disk until I got it adjusted.

Yeah I took that into perspective, that MOST EVO users are using ACTs so statistically I know that works out, however I also noticed a lot of "lockout" users still had the stock restrictor pill in which is more than certainly causeing a problem. However, I did notice some who did have it out and had the problem still, I heard some Exedy guys complaining too (twin disc guys) but it was far less a problem. Either way, my heart is set on the single disc RPS as of now, unless I see something great headed from ACT.

I have heard the stock clutch is built by Exedy, but is it a twin disk design? Also, I'm at 43,000 miles, has any stock clutch lasted longer?

if you never launch your evo and know how to drive and rarely downshift...your clutch will last an easy 40k
the stock clutch is definetly not a twin disc...i ripped mine out myself and installed the twin disc...

ACT is a good cost effective clutch... i've heard plenty of cases of people with lock out in the higher rpm range regardless of adjustment...... exedy is amazing, i've heard good things about tilton too

Nos is a brand name of nitrous. Please call it nitrous or N20. NOS, NX, ZEX are all brands of nitrous. Thanks.

hey Dave - your clutch is warrantied for 12,000 miles or 12 MONTHS, unfortunately. I found that out not too long ago. =( also, only the disc is covered, not the facings, so they'd probably deny it anyways, even if you were still within the 12 month period.

How long did your clutch last?

Well guys. My clutch went and I replaced it with another stocker. I did not have the cash to spend on the twin plate, but I know I will do it when this one goes.

I got 44K miles from the stock one and I was not easy on it. I did launches, power shifts and a few times smoked it a bit too much.

The car started to slip and then grip. I could put the hammer doen and then it would slip then grip and go. After a while it did more slipping than gripping. I am glad it did not just give out and leave me stranded.

I got it replaced at the dealer for $1066 out the door.

Glad I have winter tires and rims for the snow.

File Transfer

Hey I just saw the video and was thinking about what other people use for file transfer.

http://www.yousendit.com

Anyone else have other sites for this?
