power windows vs manual window

unless you're a hardcore racer, is there really a need for lighter windows. all four will prolly run 8 pounds lighter without power windows. ill stick with my power windows on my galant.

I never have my windows down, I don't think it would be that bad with manual windows. just at jack in the box.

I don't have weights but I can ensure you the manual is lighter. Not only is there no motors in the RS doors, but the actuation is by a cable that is set up diferently than the auto doors.
I found out the hard way when trying to convert to power locks. It is not a simple conversion.

im located in NY if want im up to the swap and we can work out a deal give me a PM Drop and talk to me. my car is fully gutted and trying to get down to lightest evo. so any help will help. 8lb per windows is a lot lol. but i dont think it will be that much. but wire plus motor and all can add up so i dont know. you have to jump on it tho soon becasue im selling all 4 seats and door panels so if want the door panels with the auto windows jump on the deal. and i do have all leather so its sweet.

I dont even take mine to the track so looking into power window conversion is something i will for sure be doing..

And i wouldnt think having power windows would really make that much of a difference at the track anyways.. But i could be wrong!

I wouldnt b concernd about the weight differencenunless u plan on just dragging the car. In my opinion evos are fast regardless. Power windows are more convienent not te mention u have a $16,000 car do u really wanna rollbure windows up? Power windows and sunroof all day in my eyes.
