What are they putting into my car?
so i did 15,000 bucks worth of damage to my 03 evo VIII. pretty much all new wheels, rear susp. and axles. and alot of body work. my question is are they going to replace them with the crappy original evo shocks and stuff or is Mitsu gonna send em the better stuff off newer models?

Everyone keeps saying the VIII and IX suspensions are exactly the same, they are not. The IX has different rear springs, and the shock valving front and rear is different. Says so right in the borchure haha. The rims as you have noticed are different, so I am not sure what they are going to do there. I feel you are going to get VIII suspension parts, and possible IX rims, since the VIII may not be available as a stock part anymore, not sure on that. Just make sure if you have to have your fenders replaced, make sure the insurance company puts the factory alluminum parts on and not aftermarket steel ones that I have seen them put on to save a buck. Good luck on this, getting anything fixed right after a bad wreck or accident is a 50/50 thing. Just greatful you made it out ok. The car did its job then. Goodluck.
