Ralliart ACD ECU

I read good reviews about Ralliart ACD ECU...

http://www.lancerregister.com/showth...hlight=ACD+ECU

http://www.takakaira.com/asp/templat...LlHiIidfEgcjFe

I would like to know if this ECU fits LHD models and if someone here already tested it...

Thanks

i doubt the ECU would be beneficial over a flash, however the ACD module seems interesting, except for this one bit: "This provides increase responsiveness of the ACD system & parking brake"

i thought the parking brake is mechanical and not controlled by the ACD. or is there a sensor that reduces the acd's potential when the e brake is pulled? anyone done any e brake testing to see if anything is out of the ordinary? ( i havn't).

When you pull the parking brake enough to display the brake light, it sends a signal to the ACD to go full rear bias...

excellent! thats what i was looking for.

any idea what the "This is electronically controlled, and have one rally mode (winter or tarmac rally), and have two pavement road surface settings (wet & circuit)." and "In addition, for rallying, various maps are available to optimize the ACD performance." means?

as in you can change on the fly or you have to choose a map when you order it?

I read that K1 is tarmac spec, so it shouldn't give any problems...

I've read in a couple of places that the Ralliart ACD ECU does not work with our US Evos for whatever reason. But please let me know if I've heard wrong!!

I dont think the Ralliart ACD ECU wont work because its linked to the S-AYC, which the US Evos dont have.

here you are wrong, because in rally they do not use s-ayc or even abs. the jdm RS, and GT have not come with abs and ayc/s-ayc since they introduced them in back with the V. (abs probably earlier). these features are luxuries for street drivers..haha

however, i think the main problem will be the pinouts being different just as with the main ecu between jdm and us evo models.

states this does not work with us evos
http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ine&prodid=133

and here is one fella that tried and couldn't get it to work
http://lancerregister.com/showthread.php?threadid=65880

we just don't get to play with the cool toys in us

Think about it, we are discussing street versions of the Ralliart ECU. WRC and rally cars use a different/hacked ECU, so saying that they are not equipped with S-AYC is irrelevant. your argument that they dont use S-AYC is not applicable here, because race teams do not use street-spec ECUs.

The JDM RS gets AYC as an option by the way, and the GT uses an ECU similar to the US Evo. as far as trying to lecture me on when the AYC came out, dont be silly - the AYC came out in the Evo IV, not the V.

and for the record, during the first outing of the Evo VIII in the Super Taikyu series it DID use S-AYC.
