I have found it not just the younger crowd, but more so poeple who think they have something to prove. It's all in curiosity of the other persons car. Everytime I'm driving the city at night, I always find "those people" with something to prove. It's annoying as all hell. Just let me drive my Evo and leave me alone. I didn't come here to race. I'm just on my way somewhere and I happen to be driving this car. I always keep finding myself asking the same question over and over again...."why does no one do this to me when I drive my girls '02 GTI????"

I just usually ignore the person inticing the race at the next light. I look at it as a no win situation. Too many fines$$$ I like my car and still love driving it. I won't let someone push me to race them on the street. I don't like handcuffs!!!!

by MOST of guys on here saying stupid kids this stupid kid that, that makes u stupid as well. Stereotyping is not what smart people do. Just make a thread stating "there was this stupid kid in a honda, etc..." NOT judging all of them overall as a group. Doesnt it kind of bug you when SVT owners look at us as ricers? Doesn't it bug you when we're put into the Honda civic and Integra group due to our huge wing? Doesn't it bug you when people judge YOU because of your race? I'm about to be 20 but when I was 16 I wasn't revving on everyone and doing burnouts (i was usually too busy paying attention to my tire wear and gas gauge)...I'm more of a "you wanna have a race, you start it" type of guy. I have never in my life started a race.
Yeah, I drive an Integra 4dr on boost (trying selling it to buy an Evo IX), and I dont try anyone. whats the point? i mean if a honda or a car that is comparable to mine tries ME, then maybe ill run them (depending on the mood im in and the area we are driving in.) But Im not one of those guys that tries anything that has an exhaust or looks fast. First of all, i dont want to get a ticket or in an accident, better yet, waste my gas for that crap. But when i have fun, i have my fun!

ABSOLUTELY!!! I have two bikes now, and had a bunch in the past. It never ends...everyone seems to be more cocky on bikes IMO...

back in '96 I started with a '96 ZX-6R, traded for new '97 CBR600F3 totaled, bought new '99 VTR1000 SuperHawk, traded for new '00 CBR929RR, traded for new '01 Ducati 748 then bought a CBR600RR and then sold the Duc 748 in '04 then bought '96 CBR900RR for stunt. Sold the 900 and now just stunt the 600RR.
I got tired of the "look at me I'm Mat Mladid or Nicky Haden" wannabe's on the street. So now I just stunt....way more fun

Too many stories to list...

He see's that im not going to do anything i was just waiting to stop at the next light to get out and beat the liveing crap out of him, So kid drops a gear and takes off , The car made all this noise and was'nt even pulling away from me and i was'nt even try to race him next stop light was red kid slams on the brake's lets one car go by the he takes the light with the most sadest burn out ive seen.

Im sick of these's lil kids running around doing stupid stuff. This is why we have high insurance rates if your under the age of 23. If it was not for my head's up driveing i would be telling you guys about how i crashed my evo and just another said story.

If you know anybody like this please sit down and talk to them.

Good story, and yes I agree. My town has more ricers then anything else, I get flybies all the time when I drive through town. Most of it is not worthy though.

dont worry i know a guy who is like 35 or so and has 2 kids who does this same thing.
but he does it differently...he would be passing through a nice quiet residential area but he would see the need to rev up (for the BOV to sound) at every speed bump.
I guess it supposed to be some sort of attention getter!
pisses me off though.

It amuses me that this 'adult' is able to use his third grade grammar skills along with an ability to construct sentences that retain little sense to spread slanderous accusations that every person under 23 is a bumbling idiot behind the wheel. You are just looking at the effect of this problem, not the cause. What incompetent government gave the aforementioned kid a driver's license in the first place? You want lower insurance rates? Get Bush to make stricter driving regulations and instate more extensive driving courses. P_A_STREET_EVO8, do the entire Internet a favor and keep your incoherent ramblings to yourself.

-An 18 year old that needs to have someone sit down and talk to him.

stereotype
Function: noun
: something conforming to a fixed or general pattern; especially : an often oversimplified or biased mental picture held to characterize the typical individual of a group

I think that tons of younger drivers in their frst few years fit into this pattern and it's quite right to stereo type them. There are of course people within with stereo typical group that don't conform to the pattern, but that doesn't change that fact that MOST of the other people of the stereo typical group do fit that pattern.

I don't feel that saying "kids". Stupid kids driving like this drives everyone's insurance up. In 1994, with a perfect driving record and a 2 year old gsx is was paying over $2000 a year for insurance, and that was with some messing around with who drove which car in my family. I'd hate to see what my insurance would be now if I were 18 and trying to pay evo insurance.
