Ok... i'm now boosting 21psi and have taken it to 21psi quite a few times.
I thought maybe my oil was low... but my level is perfect to the 2nd dink on the dipstick, but my engine at idle sounds sorta like a diesel engine now. It's not really loud, but i can notice it's different than before. Is this bad? is the timing off? I read on a thread that once you start boosting 21 or more you have to advance timing?
I use 93 octane pump fuel
Perrin MBC
Defi-D boost guage
K&N Typhoon intake

Please help.

PS-oh and where can i find a bulk pack of oil filters and mobil 1 oil? My free 45k mi. maintenance warranty is gone... i'm gonna do my own now.

yes.. the K&N is a piece of suck intake
yes.. the perrin MBC is a suck MBC too.

but it's what i got to work with.

Please if anyone knows about this knocking noise problem... share the knowledge.
It sounds almost like my old '92 civic motor... it sounds "old"
