Horsepower is a drug!!

well as a few of you know i had to sell my lightning last thursday. i just figured id post on here that some lucky SOB ran off with it for 7000 bucks with all my goodies still on/in it. just to recap here i paid 20 for it june 25th, and put 3000 bucks into it over the summer. plus i had the engine pulled before i sold it and that was another 1500. i always see that "if your gonna play you gotta pay" saying being tossed around car forums. i used to think it refered to spending money on mods. but between the lightning takin a crap and my evo getting messed up bad. im starting to understand. i feel horsepower is like any other drug. in the fact that it has its good times at first, things are peachy, you only need a little to have fun, and you can quit whenever you want to right? WRONG! cause before you know it, you cant get enough of the stuff. you start spending more than just spare cash on it. soon your donating various bodily fluids for money to buy mods, your family and friends start to notice. then they try to intervean by pulling you out from under your truck while your installing your FTVB. its nuts man and it can ruin your life i tell ya!!!!!!!

Not if you go to the track and actually use it. Modding just to have more power for driving on public roads is fruitless.

I wasn't referring to drag racing, but yeah, the drag strip is a good measurement tool to see how much power you've gained.

Warrtalon! You crack me up! Don't get me wrong, I think that you are definitely a valuable member of the EvoM community, but i swear you must sit by your computer day and night commenting, policing and generally harrassing people on a minute by minute basis!

Keep up the good work!

Tony

Say what same thing about drag racing? That doesn't make sense in relation to the comment you quoted.
