GSR RS MR difference?!

Hey guys, i actually own a civic currently and am looking to sell it and buy an evo within the next 6 months or so so i have been wandering around this forum reading up on all i can. The one thing i did not know about Evos is that there are different models of VIII's. i would have to buy an VIII because i dont have the money for a IX currently. I hear people saying they have an RS MR or GSR... but whats the difference between them? What are all the different models of VIII's? the only difference i can pick out is the MRs have different wheels and a slightly different look. AND YES I SEARCHED so please dont tell me to search, i couldnt find anything. Flame away, and thanks for whoever really does help me out.

5 speed to 6 speed. Different types of differentials. Wheels, suspension. etc.

Check out the Mitsubishi cars website and read the difference. Difference being the HP numbers and MIVEC. from the 8 to the 9.

mivec = variable cam timing only, not lift, and i believe it is only the intake cam.

Eventhough it has been covered many many times. Here is a basic breakdown for you.
RS: No power anything and no wing, aluminum roof.
Regular 8: Power accesories, SSL is an optional package(Leather, moonroof, upgraded stereo,HIDs)
MR: Billstein suspension, BBS wheels, HIDs, 6-speed, aluminum roof

If you want straight performance with no frills get the RS. If you want a more comfortable daily driver and want to mod right away get a regular 8. If you dont want to mod straight out of the box and want something that rides a little smoother and will retain resale value a little more, get the MR.

rs= no power windows, locks, radio, anti-lock brakes, rear window wiper, white or red only, black door handles, no spoiler, lightweight aluminum roof, gauge package

viii or gsr = avail in most colors, avail leather/hid/infinity/sunroof package, same wheels as rs, no aluminum roof, has pw.pl, radio, spoiler and anti-lock brakes, no gauge package mounted under ac controls

mr= 6 speed, bbs wheels, vortex generator, aluminum roof, upgraded suspension, gauge package, hid, rest is same as viii/gsr except no package leather, sunroof, infinity. also has nicer shift knob and e brake handle
