Opinions Needed for new evo VIII w/ssl
I live in ohio and found a brand new evo VIII w/ssl for $29,750, I tried to talk the dealer down about a grand and he didnt budge, if I buy it I will be travelling about 400 miles to get it, and I think he should make a consideration but maybe that's me.
I know the 06's have been out a while and he says thats the best deal he will give me.
Is that a good price??
thanks,
greg

pretty good deal for ssl package. BUt if i was going to spend that much for an 8, i would add a few more grand toward a non ssl 9. Seats are better (my opinion) than even the leather's.
PLUS, performance is absolutely crazy w/ basic mods/tune!

I wouldn't pay $30k for a VIII when I could get a IX. With all the great power the IXs are making I would regret getting the VIII when for a couple more thousand I could have gotten the IX. But I'm not a fan of the leather seats and I could care less about the sun roof, those two options might be something that you want. Get the IX, if he can't give you a deal on one go somewhere else.

I bought a leftover 2005 EVO VIII w/SSL from a dealer in November. They had three 2005 Evos and just started receiving the Evo 9s. They were motivated to move the 2005 Evos and I got a good deal. Their price was very close to what you were quoted. We haggled a bit and I had them throw in vortex generators and give me a break on Lojack.
The price you were quoted is pretty good for a brand new Evo (yes, it is still new). If they won't budge on price, have them throw in extra stuff like I did. EVERYTHING is negotiable. If you are financing through them, be careful that they don't try to pull a fast one on you.
I traveled over 100 miles to get my Evo. Maybe you can get them to throw in a couple tanks of fuel ($60 here in Cali) to pay for your gas home. Just a thought.
Anyway, I now have 3200 miles on my Evo and absolutely love the car. It's a EVO VIII with SSL. I recommend the car.

it's your choice, if you want the leather, sound and sun roof...29 k isn't too bad...try to get them to throw in a set of vortex generators as well or other stuff. good luck with your deal.

Well if you get two, throw me one! One per EVO

well the minute you title it, youre driving a yr old car. so depreciation isnt on your side. i also wouldnt drive that far without it being a much better deal. spend a few K more and get an 9 it just makes more sense than buying a yr old new car without a better discount.

Buy the IX, it's a superior car. Considering you're only going to pay about a thousand more for it as well, and you're not hemmed up in an 8 already, there is absolutely no reason not to get the IX.
