14b turbo, better if it was a 16g but it will work. my friend ran 30 psi in his winter talon last year because someone told him it could'nt be done, and it was. btw he was using a 14b.

call bs if you want, but it did.

ps: i dont blame you if you dont believe me, because i wouldnt believe it if i didnt see it either. but emagine my experssion when he took me for a ride and i saw the boost guage wack 30 and then look under the hood and see the stock 14b.
he had no problems with reliability at all, which is still amazing to me still. read the last line in my sig, he is a perfect model of that.
I believe such a car can run fast times. What I'm questioning is the cost.... You have listed $4K in parts and still there is the price of the car itself. Oh yeah, If the owner is not going to do all the work himself, or he cannot do some of the work (like tuning the AEM EMS, installing the clutch, etc.), you are probably looking at a lot more than $5K....

I''m not saying it can't be done, but I seriously question the actual feasibility of such a project. I have an old '79 2 dr Nova with a V8 engine. I doubt extremely seriously if I could actually get that car to run in the 12's without spending a ton of money and time in it.....

And stop saying LS1's people, that engine and tranny alone is at least $4000 by itself.

I have a sr-powered 240, its light, good power and can run 12s on the stock T25 turbo, it is also pretty crazy from a roll if you wanted to race that way.

Get either a fox body or a 1st gen rx7 with sbc. Theres no way you could do any v8 rx7 with an ls1 for less than 5 grand. My 1st gen has a carbureted 406 small block chevy in it with TH350 trans and will go deep in the 11's all day long on motor. In a couple months ill be putting in an 8.8 ford rear and 200 shot of nitrous and hopefully ill be deep in the 10's.

Get a Mirage HB and drop a 4g63 in there. Add some mods, that should be 12s. If not, the Starion idea isnt sounding too bad either.
