12 seconds for 5000??
im not comfortable with racing my evo from a dig. way too much wear and tear on the car. im thinking about building a cheap RWD drag car for around 5000. im thinkin 1000 for the car. 2500 or so on a motor and 1000-1500 on the tranny and rearend. but i soo far the only cars that come to mind are an early 80's impala or buick regal. i know i could build a fast civic or 240 for cheap, but im trying to avoid torque steer. im wondering whats the best RWD platform to go from on something like this? or should i just eat the torque steer to save the money?

14b turbo, better if it was a 16g but it will work. my friend ran 30 psi in his winter talon last year because someone told him it could'nt be done, and it was. btw he was using a 14b.
call bs if you want, but it did.
ps: i dont blame you if you dont believe me, because i wouldnt believe it if i didnt see it either. but emagine my experssion when he took me for a ride and i saw the boost guage wack 30 and then look under the hood and see the stock 14b.
he had no problems with reliability at all, which is still amazing to me still. read the last line in my sig, he is a perfect model of that.
