hahahahaha! well maybe it was a bad feeling! her website was flashy!

in the first post, they listed out nearly a dozen attorneys. you might have to call them all, but its worth your time.

just keeping making calls...i remember in FL we would always get cases dismissed by having a lawyer ask for a continous untill the cop didnt show up. dont know the laws in your state though.

good luck

its a criminal case though, so its the DA pushing and not just the cop wanting to show or not.

think if this was a theft case, they wouldnt let you off because you kept pushing out teh date, only if you were a celebrity would they let you off.

Lawers are a lot like doctors, they all have thier specialties. You need to find a lawer that specializes in criminal traffic law. They exist here in California so they are probably in Arizona also. I would look on the Arizona State Bar website and start making calls:

the person that recommended calling DUI lawyers has it right. They'd be the first ones to call at this point. So of them have very deep connections and if you emphasize that money is not an option(within reason) they should be able to find a judge that will "help" you. Where i'm from in SC you used to be able to call a certain attorney and any dui offense went away for under a grand.

I mean when you hit 100 you already knew you were breaking the law, and in most states their are certain requirements for someone (a cop in this case) to pull you over. For example, in Texas, a blue flashing light with siren behind you (at a minimum) is required to pull a car over. So if in a situation like your's, I'd have waited for them to do so. Of course, there are not many cars that could catch up to another car already going 165, let alone a cop car.

if he did what you said he'd have a ticket for 165 instead of 110

or be without a ticket. It's a gamble, but that's life.

In my experience it's best not to **** off the police. Usually the nice and more mannerly you are the more leniently they are. I find it VERY hard to believe that a cop would give up a 165mph "fish" ... more cars / helicopters would get involved and I don't think any of us need that type of headache, or even more charges like resisting arrest.

well... do you know if the officer lost sight of you? if so how many times? last time I checked it is very hard to get a good look at a car doing 150+ by a police car. I remember I was working one night and I had a porsche do 160 by me, I knew it was a porsche BUT... I did not see the driver, tag, or what kind of porsche it was. then I put the lights on, I lost sight of the car 3 times I found A silver porsche and pulled him over (Don't know if it was him) and told him "I dont know if it was you that passed me but I lost sight of you 3 times and there is no way a judge is going to give you anything (ticket of fine) so consider this a warning" I would take it to court and fight it. but the officer did cut you a break from 165 to 110 which doesn't seem like much but FIGHT IT! There is no way the officer kept you in sight. Go to court with a nice suit, Clean driving record, and it does't hurt to kiss some *** (And my police car [Crown Vic] does a top speed run of 137 but I'm getting ready to transfer to a Cobra of GTO [Different unit])
