Stock boost gauge?

Ok i want to get a mbc, but do i have to switch my stock boost gauge just to push 2 see the 2 more psi i would run, or can i just keep it in and get the mbc and adjust it, wouldnt the needle just run off? i really dont want to get a new gauge for that.

Did you get the factory mitsu gauge?? If so that is so off at least it was on my 03'. Mine was in Bar and when i got it flashed we found how off it was. It reads wrong by a few psi. If you get a MBC i'd suggest getting a new gauge to be sure you dont screw anything up in AFR's. I'd suggest getting a flash also since that will do you the most justice.

Well if the stock gauge you have goes to 20-21 PSI, you should be fine, although I have heard the stock gauge is not that accuarte so you might want to upgrade to something more reliable. And you drive an 05 evo 7? I didn't know they made that!

the stock boost gauge is not accurate, mine is about 0.1 bar off, so i woudl suggest to buy a good after market gauge if u are going to install a MBC

I would get an aftermarket gauge. It will be more accurate than the stock one.

ya but isnt there a way the mbc can tell u what psi im runnin, i would push it like 1psi more then stock, i mean what would happen to the boost gauge if it goes over 1.5 bars? would it just go past it? i mean its fine but i just want to push a little more boost, i dont really want to change my gauge for that.

just adjust the mbc to what bar you want to run

the stock boost gauge works just fine. its just small , hard to read, badly lit , inferior to aftermarket gauges
