evo IX vs. charger srt-8
I was shopping at vons today and like always i stopped by the magazine section to look at some stuff..i picked up a copy of "speed magazine" inside was 06 evo IX mr vs. charger srt-8. I read through it and everything was good untill i came across the performance comparison... 0-60 & 1/4 mile for the evo was 4.6/12.7 "that was fine," but the charger... 0-60 in 4.9 and 1/4 mile in 11.5 ...... i thought it was a typo but i kept reading and it was posted twice more.. i think this is sooo funny!! there is no way.... sure the car has 425 hp, but its weight is over 4000lbs. has anyone else seen this magazine??? does anyone have the real numbers on the srt-8?

"The Charger SRT-8 sports a massaged 6.1-liter V8 that pumps out 425 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. A bored-out version of the regular Hemi, the 6.1L benefits from a higher compression ratio, a higher-flow cylinder head, and redesigned intake and exhaust systems. A five-speed automatic transmission with a specially calibrated AutoStick manual mode is standard. The Charger SRT-8 is capable of 0-to-60-mph times in the mid-5-second range and quarter-miles in the mid-13s."

the shop in town just got 3 SRT8s in and we got them to bring one out against my evo....it wasn't close. i have turboback and vishnu ecu and i raped the SRT8 from any speed we picked. dont be scared if u see them, make those old men cringe when they see you.
