I saw a Lexus IS300 with Toyota Altezza badging. I was actually really proud of the guy. Usually when you tell someone with a Lexus they drive a Toyota they get all pissed off. Worst I have seen is a Lancer, actually, badged as a Mercedes Compressor....

+1..also same as nissan 350z owners changing badges to Fairlady b/c that is the name plate in japan.+1..also same as nissan 350z owners changing badges to Fairlady b/c that is the name plate in japan.
+2 .. It would be a different story if he had GT-R badges, but yes, techniquely it is a skyline. Not as bad as the 240sx I saw with GTR skyline badges. And then he came up to me and started talking to me about my car

speaking of false badging....

Has anyone else ever seen the clip on streetfire.net where at a car show these two guys see a Mustang with a GT-R emblem on the back and huge Japanese lettering on the back glass? They walk over to the guy and start messin with him beyond belief. It is one of the funnier clips I've seen with people impostering their vehicle. Please, I hope someone else in here has seen this other than myself.

I've seen this on TV too, these guys are asking about all kinds of fake engine mods and the mustang owner is saying that he has all of it done to his car right? It is funny.

maybe i'm just too critical when it comes to badges.

I also think it would have looked better without the g35 on it and just the skyline part.
YES-SIR-REEEE.....I use to have a 04' G35 Coupe 6spd...and the Nissan Skyline 350GT is rebadged as the Infiniti G35 here(USA)...I wouldn't necessarily call it a "false rebadge" though....

You probably saw this:

"GT-R" badge per se is a Ford proprietary name for some Mustang models.

I have serious issues with Lancer or WRX owners rebadging their rides as Evo's or STi's. I mean, even if you modify your car to be fast, it's still the same car. There must be at least 10 WRX's in South Bay that have a wing and STi badges...
