I dont know that I could. Im too attached to my baby. Plus, all the mods and stuff ive done to it.....i donno if i could or not.

I would trade my 04' for a IX MR. 04' has no front limited dif and no ACD also want the six speed over the five.

I just trade in my 03 for 06 last week. The reason are, I want to have ACD, Mivec and bad a$$ IX turbo, better looking f bumper, nicer interior, brown brembo back to red brembo again, brand new clutch, brand new a046, 3 miles on the odo, brand new rotor and pads, new car smell....best of all, I dont have to envy those who post up thier IX dyno plot every freakn day...

I can have all of the above for only $5000 of differences which I can still afford. I don't see why not.

If it was an 03-04 Evo 8 yes, no doubt I would traded in for an Evo 9 in a hearbeat. If it is a 05 Evo 8 , then I might keep the Evo 8 and keep up the difference of power by adding a couple of worthy mods.

I know 100% I am keeping my Evo 8 MR because I WILL get a Evo X as soon as they sell them. The Evo 8 is a blast, the 9 is even better but the X is just in a different galaxy. Evo 7 through Evo 9 were cosmetically clones.

The Evo X would be a fresh start

 

why trade?, the evolution is a good car. Just because a newer generation comes out doesn't mean that the 8 is no longer good. I put money in it, my car is gonna be faster than any IX but that is just my opinion

 

the way I look at it, I was going to wait for the X. . .which is why I've kept my mods reversible, and my warranty warrantable. . .now, the IX is starting to look tempting, but I'm really holding out and hoping this new aluminum engine will do well. . .but with all the hiccups the 2003 Evo's had, I'm thinking I'll have to wait until 2010 for a new Evo, so I'm wondering if I should just trade in for a 2007 IX before the miles start adding up. . .from all these articles, it looks like the X won't have THAT much more horsepower, it'll just have a different layout, more difficult for tuners to catch up and perfect it. . .migth as well just use and abuse the 4G63 platform. . .

So Yeah, I would trade my 2005 VIII for a 2006 or 2007 IX.
