in general i would be very nervous buying a used evo, especially with that few miles on it, it would make me wonder if there was something wrong with it, maby they just wanted to upgrade to the IX, but you never know.

Well what happened was the car that I am looking at was the sales managers car and he upgraded to the 9 MR. However, I am very leary about buying ANY mitsu cause I have heard nothign but horror stories from them and they are mostly drivetrain problems. I have heard from a actual EVO owner that the clutches go out every 30000miles. I also heard mitsu has always had tranny problems. I mean I know older eclipses were just a headache but is this the case with the EVO?

dude that price is horrible, BUY NEW. . .and the trannies have issues, but be kind and gentle and you will be rewarded. . .you want a bullet proof tranny? Break the stock one, send it to TRE, spend $1500 for rebuild and installation, DONE, perfect and unbeatably strong. .

Hey guys thanks alot for all your help. It is much much much appreciated. I told them I dont want it. Now let me ask you guys this. How do you know that the 9 GSR is 29000? And I talked to a friend of mine who said he went to LB mistu who asked for the GSR and they told him the price was base price then they marked up the prices cause of dealer fees and other BS. So the price really ended up being 31grand. Is this true? Is there anyone out there that you know or you yourself have gotten your 9 GSR for that much ?

Please help me out guys. You are the only ones I trust. Thanks again

I got my GSR for 31,000 back in october when it came out new. I think in some dealerships you can haggle them down to 29,000 at this point in time. 3000 off msrp isn't that hard, but then again its not a high volume selling car. Just go around and talk to more dealerships.

back in september i got an 05 gsr with 40 miles on it for 27,000 so i'd imagine you can do better than that

If I could've only seen into the future I would be golden 4 months ago. Damn it! I bought my 05 for 27k and thought it was a good deal but that was before taxes and title so basically equals out to be around 29k after ttl which could've gotten me a 9. O'well any evo is better than no Evo.
