Anyone have a 2004 or newer Alpine radio in their car?

I have the 9830 Alpine and i had best buy install it for me yesterday, and there is a noticable gap between the radio and the dash. The guy told me that the bezel that goes around the radio wouldn't fit on my car. Anyone know if this is true? thanks

I have the alpine 9855, though I had mines installed on the bottom with a radio relocation kit and I was able to put the trim around the radio. I did read somewhere on this forum that if you install an aftermarket radio where the stock radio was then they'll be a noticeable gap.

Do a search. There is a method of moving the radio forward to clear for the trim ring.

the cage that came with the radio will fit right into the din size opening in the dash where the radio was. it's really personal preference.

That has nothing to do with the deck. The guy who installed it should have used some sort of filler around the edges. I have the same model Alpine in my car. Send a PM if you want me to take a pic.

I have a 9855 and the trim ring fits but does not allow the mechanical tilt to operate correctly when you eject CD's. Solution would be to move the 9855 out about an 1/8th of an inch I would assume..As of now I am not usung the trim ring and living with the fact the area around the radio is somewhat exposed..If anyone has fixed this, post up your experiences..

hey

i have the alpine 9855 and was able to get the front part out about 1/8" and although the part that covers the climate controls and such didn't fit like a glove, with a little grunt work you'll be able to get rid of that gap!

I've 9855 and it fits with the bezel on. Make sure you used the same bracket from the factory cd player and make sure it clearly goes in where it should. if you want a picture pm me.

I have a IVA-D300 in my 04' there is a slight gape all the way around I have mine adjusted so I can use the alpine trim ring that almost perfectly matches the evo radio surround.

I think they put a custom spacer in for me... I wanted the Alpine so I could get the ipod hookup and leave my ipod in my glovebox. Works great!
