Hey guys, does anyone know for sure which 3" downpipes do not have the tapering kink at the two ends? For some the kink might not be a big deal but I'm looking for one withough it. It's really hard for me to tell just by looking at the different downpipe pictures online. Thanks guys.

The search is of no help. I tried already and the only querry that I think would help me had 130 pages with 25 threads per page and I wasn't about to sort through 3250 threads. The other more limited searches didn't help. Only found someone else asking the same question and being told to search. So if anyone has the answer to this for the 2005 model I'd appreciate it. Or if someone could point me to a search querry that helped I would appreciate that too.

 

DC Sport w/ cat delete is 3inch from the turbo to the catback.

Just to be clear too, I'm not referring to the directional kinks in DPs for the 2005's due to the larder diffs. But the JIC downpipe (which is marketed as 80mm>3") is actually less than 3" at the necks by my measurement so that's why I'm asking.
I'll look into the Buschur and DC Sports pieces. Thanks guys.

No taper on my Injen SES Downpipe

 

I have yet to hear of a DP that tapers.

 

Does the DC Sports downpipe fit the '05 model?

 

The JIC Magic downpipe I purchased tapers at the flange (at both ends in fact). The tapering is only about 2 inches or so in length (not the diameter) at the two ends. If you feel inside it you can feel where it starts narrow and then increases to the 80mm advertised diameter. By my measurement, the circumference at the ends of the JIC dp is 7.5inches in circumference, roughly 2.4inches in diamater.
