noob Question !
this is a very .. and i mean Very Noob Question ..
so u have been warned
the evo is my first turbo car .. so i am learning .. so excuse me for what i am about to ask or say because i have no experience in it ..
i still don't get the boost concept ..
we already know the evo stock boost is 18 psi ..
so does adding mods gain more whp on that stock boost?? or does it stay on the same stock whp on the stock boost ..
and if u equip a MBC .. and u put it on stock boost .. will the car run like it's stock with the performance mods ..
with the mods in my signature i will be runnin 1.3 bar only .. on 91 octane
again .. i am learnin ..
i asked because i don't want to hurt the car for raising the boost
for the reflash i am gonna do that in a month or so ..

let me guess u bought the car used with the mods. im trying to understand what youre asking but here it goes..
the stock boost is 18.5 (est 19psi) actually and yes if you add more mods, you will gain power even if you stay at the stock boost. Raising it however will yield more when tuned. 2nd Q....if you buy a MBC and leave it at stock boost, you MBC will help because it will pretty much eliminate boost taper whereas stock, you see about 2-3psi tapering up top. 1.3 bar is pretty low. I cant rememeber my BAR numbers correctly but about 20-21psi is fine on 91 oct which is about 1.5-1.6 bars?

I believe stock boost on 03 is 19.5 and tapers to 16.5 after 6.5rpm. You might want to search this one to verify, but on the 05, it is 20.5 and tapers to 18.5? Please correct this info if invalid. However, you should be able to find the answer after a search.
