Can I get away with a reflash or do I need a custom tune?
I posted this in Dynoflash, but I might get better a response in this forum.
Currently I have a Forge b/c, Buschur intake and X02 racing 3" TBE with a base flash from Al.
I am getting HKS 272s, 10.5 hotside, Ebay o2 housing, 255 fuel pump, and DC Sports manifold. Can I send you my ECU for a reflash for these parts (all going on at the same time) or do I need to see you for a custom tune?
Also with these mods on an '03 do I need to upgrade injectors?
Thanks

A custom tune is better bang for your buck.
That being said, do keep in mind it must be a quality tuner doing the work.
I don't believe you need injectors until you look at a turbo upgrade - you should be fine.
As far as an off-the-shelf tune is concerned they have to send you one that's approximately the same as your mods on your pump gas octane level. So if they have one near that build, great. If not, find another.
I might hang tight and look for a custom tune in your area ... otherwise, a quality tuner to send that ECU to.
Good luck!

I can answer you that, Yes, you do need a custome or mail in flash for sure. Things like Fuel pumps, headers and Cams would require the tunning.
As far is fuel injectors, just to give you an idea, my car was custom tuned back in May by Al, I did not even had a fuel pump at the time, nor injectors, all I had was :
Cams, 3"TB,CAI,MBC, I was boosting 24-25psi peak and never had a detonation issue. Remember, that was with stock injectors and fuel pump.
Don't get me wrong, I think you might benefit with larger fuel pump and larger injectors but I also think you can be fine with stock injectors as well...
My .2c

I have the following mods with a mail-in flash from TurboTrix:
280's/cam gears/GT Spec manifold/02 housing, TBE, 255 pump, MBC, K&N drop-in, and running around 23-24spike with no detonation. I have stock injectors just as a FYI.
My next step is some alky and a custom tune from TT.
