I wouldnt do it. I never understand those who buy an RS as a DD.

losing cruise control would seem to be important to you since you drive a lot of miles ~ 32k on 05 car.

well... if you can have the RS as a 2nd car, it would be nice, but I know I wouldnt want an RS as a daily driver... its too much of a race car for being a daily driver. If you can manage to get a decent daily driver car then the RS maybe you could go for it, but go and drive it.

goodluck with your decision.

my RS serves as a DD in the warm months. the only thing that sucks is the lack of power locks/keyless. sure, having cruise and power accessories would be nice, but I still am happy I went with the RS. the price difference/lack of a stupid wing is what sold me.

Well, no deal, not even close.

Anybody want an immaculate '05 STi for 17,900? ...besides the dealer?

You either live at home with your parents, or really don't understand the "new" financial responsibilites you are about to undertake. Your car has a lot of milage in one year, and you are going to eat a year's worth of payments/depreciation in the process. Mod your STi or buy yourself a beater honda, and save the cash for upgrades.
The STi is pretty much the same car as what you are trying to replace it with, but that is my .02 cents on the issue. Good luck either way!

It must that not understanding responsibility thing . I didn't think I was that crazy for sacrificing some stuff to reset the odometer and gain a longer warranty. Anyway, I'm not going to explain my train of thought. At a ~$12,000 difference there is no way in hell, and you can put your theories to rest.

I am looking at Evo also. Evo Joe is trying to find something nice for me. RS is a very raw car. It has no sterio, but if you are going to keep yours, that won´t be a factor. But it doesn´t have keyless entry, which to me is a must for a DD, and I think that is what you are looking for. RS doesn´t come with power windows either, which is acceptable but not something want. and it doesn´t come with that BEAUTYFULL wing but that nothing you can´t get. The biggest factor for me and what I could not live with is that it doesn´t have ABS.

RS is not something I could accept as a DD, but that is just my opinion. Still think you should go for an Evo, it is a LOT better looking car
