is Electric Blue really Purple?

I saw the electric blue IX in regular daylight and it looked really nice. Went to the local dealer at dusk and checked out an electric blue IX and the thing looked purple. Does it change colors in different light? I don't want a blue car during the day and a purple car in the late afternoon.

Yes It looks purple depending on the light that hits it. It is due to the pearl in he paint. It gives you 2 colors in 1

It has a very faint touch of purple if the light is right.
I find it a nice extra to an allready great color...

lol....

My two choices of acceptable colors for my car were BBY and Black. wasn't interested in the other colors. I don't hate EB, just love BBY.

Tarmac Blck has a hint of purple in the sunlight it's because of the type of pearl they used.....

Must be some special purple clearcoat that helps Mitsubishi determine if they want to honor your warranty or not.

Heh, if you look closely at the tarmac black in direct sunlight, it has purple metallic flakes....and reminds me of those pro-bass boat hulls
