how strong is the wing?

well we finally got snow in philly thank god. the last two years i have had jeeps during the last two winters and i used to let my friends tie a rope to the to hitch and snowboard behind me down the streets.. well now they want to use the wing as a makeshift tow hitch and tie on to that. im not sure how great of an idea it is. anybody try it yet?

you have to be kidding right? try pushing on your wing a little bit and you will see that it isn't there for forcefull impact, just bump into it and it feels like it could break. if you really wanted to tow them behind you why don't you look under the rear and find a tow area or something like that instead...

I say GO for it, but be sure to have someone video tape it to share! no really, this has to be the single worst idea I have heard... do not let anyone tie a rope to your wing. actually, I am not sure letting anyone snowboard behind you on a street is too good of an idea either. that can be very dangerous.

one thought, doesn,t the evo have one or two "eyes" under the car near the rear bumper that are ment for towing? I think most cars have at least one...

I don't think there are any "eyes" for towing.. but if there were they would be for a FLATBED truck...which means the chains would be going verticle.. not out from the back angled up.... if they tied on it would still mess up the bottom of the bumper...

Don't tie it to the wing. Tie it to the rims. You'll get better results.
