Who has traded in an 05 Evo?

Thinking of getting a 9 and trading in my 05 8. It is in perfect shape and only has 12000 miles. NADA says its worth 27k, what have people been trading them in for? Just trying to get a figure of what I should shoot for.

Thanks.

I'll be checking back here, I'm about to try to sell my 04 SSL with only 8,500 miles.
I'm hoping to get between 24k (low) - 27K (high).
Depends on how/who you sell it to.
I'm gonna drive over to carmax and see what they offer first.
I would expect you could get between 25-28k depending on condition (tires, stains, mods)

NADA value is retail that's what the dealer would try to sell it for. When you trade in a car at the dealer you get wholesale not sure what that is but my guess would be $22k-23k. Your best bet would be to sell it privately for $26k-$27k.

Good luck anyway you go!

No, NADA said "Average Trade-In Value"

EDIT: Retail was up around 29-30 from them.

The best thing to do would be to go to a few dealers and let them work up the numbers. I suspect they will tell you they can't give you $27k beacuse no one wants the 05's now that the new IX is out. Its all bullsh!t but they will try to low ball you.

Well hope it all works out

Thanks for the kind words, man. I know it's all a game but I am trying to make sure I don't sound unreasonable in the process

Hope to see you around maybe this spring if DSG has a BBQ!
