JDM Evo IX rear bumper concerns

i will most likely try and get a costum fabricated one made. the only worry i have right now is receiveing my JDM rear from gruppe-S they first told me end of jan then they told me end of Feb so lets see how this goes.

This has been the most informative thread so far on the JDM bumper. A link to a crash bar AND a link to pics of a JDM bumper after a crash. Looks like the costs are:
$350 Bumper
$150 Crash Bar
$300 Paint
$300 Labor (or zero if you do in in your driveway)

I took out the crash beam. 17.2 lbs of end weight was pretty significant for me . And I don't even have the JDM 9 bumper.
if you look at the crash beam, it is just a piece of metal bar screwed to your rear end the frame. Only 4 bolts are holding them. It is no different from trunk bar or tie bars something like that. I think it will provide more ridgidity to the end of the frame and provide less damage for minor crash. At high impact, I think the help will be very marginal. Also, Almost every evo has the rust on the frame around that 4 bolts. If I were concerned about minor impact and the damage, I would take out the crash bar and put some anti rust stuff on there and put it back at least.
