350Z, s2000 or EVO?

Man I love the company of car nuts! I had a 350Z and currently have Evo and S2000. I really like the look of the Z but wished I had purchased a G35. I would suggest he look at the G35 as well if considering the Z. The Z was a good car, got close to 27+ most of the time and was cheap on maintenance (although can't rotate tires on S2000 or Z). The Z has been compared to a modern muscle car of sorts (in the import world). Gobs of torque, a little heavy, and the view takes some getting used (especially out back). I did not have a convertible Z and I had touring package (leather, crapy bose system). I had a few tire sesnor bugs and rearview dimmer problem, nothing major. I also did not like how you set in the car, felt more like being down in a tub. I missed the Z for a little after a traded for a TSX but now that I have the EVO, I never miss it. The Evo is going to be more on service with synthetic. My wife drives the S2000 and she loves it. We have had no problems with it (05) but it does shift in to 2nd rough when cold. She usually gets around 25-27mpg with the Honda. Can't beat the shifter on the Honda, but the way the Evo and Z shift are close, but I think the Z may be a tad better. Toque is the most noticable differece down low, but the Evo gives you that turbo surge unlike anything else I have owned. Considering the Evo is an all weather car with four doors, and out performs the others, my vote goes to Evo, but this is my first Mitubishi and I only have 8,000 miles now.

Maintenance will be a lot more on the turbo car than the NA car. I owned two s2000's and loved them, but with 5 years of ownership I just needed something bigger and faster, so I checkked out all the AWD/Turbo cars and decided on the EVO. Great in all weather and just ensure someone that has experience with them checks it out if you are buying used, this will save you in the long run. I guess it all depends on what the driver is looking for.

The maintenance on the evo is just like most other cars: oil changes, tires rotation, alignment, oil changes, tires rotation, oil changes, tires rotation, oil changes, tires rotation, oil changes............................ tires change, oil changes, tires rotation.............................. CLUTCH job..
Now if you start modding the car then the pattern will changed. I don't see why the turbo car cost more to maintenance than the na one, there's no special services needed for the turbo.
To put it correctly, there will be a lot more to maintenance on those PIG luxury cars than the best-bang-for-the-buck high performance car.
See, now get an evo and forget those other cars.

If I could make a reccomendation go and drive each one of them. You will notice the evo will kick you into the back of the seat. Also think how much are you taking the car to the track I use my Evo as a Daily driver and after a year i'm pretty sick of it, an i'm trying to get a G35 Coupe...some speed but more of a DD IMO.

get the evo, lots of space, for whatever you want...kids, chicks, dogs, etc... It's definately a girl favorite here in the south east...it's not that expensive to own, and a few parts and you have a 11 sec car. Most people are happy with that...and reliability at 380WHP is great!
WHAT more could you want?? besides 350's are sluggish, not the best visibilty out of the drivers seat(unless conv), s2000 are beautiful, but have ZERO space and no low end torque...
Choose the Evo and you'll have plenty to be happy about!

You need to ask ur buddy what his financial situation is like... Maintenance on the car is not too bad, but it's no walk in the park either.. Clutch job is about 1k.. If he has never driven an AWD car before, I can pretty much garantee that the clutch will be the 1st thing he's gonna need to do... Not the same as a FWD or RWD car.. Most people that sell thier cars or trade them in, will beat on them a little bit.. So I'm sure the clutch will have a few more launches on it before the previous owner got rid of it... In the end, it all depends on how hard you beat on it, dictates how much service you'll need to do...
