I don't think $26k sounds unreasonable. What were you expecting?

Thats not bad at all IMO considering the insane pricing that everybody was getting on the 05s right there at the end. You'd be lucky to get 1-1.5k more private sell.

I'm facing similar offers as I've been contemplating trading my one year old car too. Each one makes you cringe.

wow, someone actually fell for that letter. that's a marketing scheme every dealer sends out to get you to come in to their lot.

Why bother with a 9, the 10 will be out next year. I know everyone's going to be switching to the 10 as soon as it comes out. I on the other hand will be waiting on a C6 Z06.

The pics of the 10 are freaking ugly. I don't care how much it costs or how much hp it provides, don't see any chance of it ending up in my garage.

I say just go somewhere else. Don't let it get you down, they have a right to offer you what they feel like paying. Its the same as if you walked in wanting to pay $500 back of invoice on a new car. If they so no, you walk - the end. Don't let them get your blood pressure up or shatter your dreams.

$13k is a joke, especially for what they are charging you for the new car. I say arrange a deal elswhere and drive to go get your new car. Also, a lot of the parts are interchangeable, so make a swap out part of the deal. The dealership should like that anyway, brand new stock parts on the trade in is never a bad thing.

I think I will stick with my Evo VIII, I have it the way I want it, the handling is so good that I am effectively speed blind and can switch lanes at 100+ with a flick of the wrist and nearly 0 body roll. handling is good although I wish I could have the MIVEC to add some bottom end back but I bet a proper tune could help me with that along with one of those eBay 02 housings I have been hearing so much about.
