help injen intake

hey, i tried searching, couldnt find any1 with this problem, please help. i got a injen intake system with the intercooler piping and intake pipe. after i installed and went for a drive, it doesnt boost all the way. i have an 05 MR and the boost gauge shows that it only boosts to like .7 my car is soo slow now. i checked all the pipes making sure that they wernt loose or anything. i cant see wahts wrong.

my only mods are the intake and a perrin cat delete and a megan racing exhaust. can anybody help. thanks!

Exclamation

What, do you think this is a N/A machine? Why did you get an intake? Why didn't you just stick with a HKS or K/N panel filter? Your actually robbing yourself of HP than actually gaining it, but i bet your turbo sounds louder huh...

Do yourself a favor, lose the intake and go back to stock or drop in panel filter.

excuse me arthimetic, hes asking for help, not ur personal opinion on wether on not he should have an intake. if he wants an intake let him have an intake. its been dyno shown that intakes actually do make more horsepower then stock when properly tuned. maybe that is why he got one. just because u cant afford an evo doesnt mean u have to knock other peoples modding path. do us a favor and step the hell out of this thread.

now onto ur question, make sure u check all the hoses, also make sure ur BOV is tight and not leaking as u might have a boost leak. it has to be something slipped off or isnt tight or on right as i have the same system in my car and it pulls hard all day long. so make sure u double check everything!!!

well i defend arthimetic...he was helping ...getting an intake as a first mod is a waste for the evo when the stock airbox is perferctly fine...could of spent that money better on something that would actually give him gains in power and not probs now he has to get it tuned which is about 500 bucks and that intake is what 200 bucks soo 700 bucks when he could of got a exhaust, mbc, licp, flash anything better than a intake,it prolly goes nice with his HKS bov if he has one. And i would not tell anyone to get out of any thread..if he wants to post in here he can and he is not "knocking" anyones modding path...so plz dont get all offended...now shut the hell up. On a side note he drives a G35 also soo i think he can afford a evo.
