Power Windows
I'm going to be converting my RS hand crank windows to power (parts from smacked up evo)
Anyone ever done this with any car before? I have all the parts and tools.
My main concern is the wiring harness.
-Does the RS come with the same Harness?
-How do I deal with wiring these up?
that's all I have for now but I'm sure I'll have more as I go on.

dood i think i was the first one to do it and the wiring its always the worst.. but on the other had i have done two other car from no power to power door..
i have everything working right
to your question about "prewired" no the car isnt for power doors. so if you look closely there isnt no wires "pigtail" going to the back door so you will have to drill a hole to pass the pig tail for both back doors..
but have fun!

basically when I get the stuff when I connect the wiring from the door to the Main harness underneath the driver side, that should be it for wiring
Hoping. that keep all the wiring for the doors and everything else wired to that harness.....
Is that all you did? as far as wiring goes?

--or you can just do the front doors and leave the back ones manual.. but that might be downgrading a lil bit to srt4 standards..

I understand I'll have to add a "pigtail" and spilce in the wire for the back doors in to the fronts but I'm asking when I plug in the fronts in to that harness underneath drivers side its that all to get them working?

no.... some of the wires worked.. like to power the external relay that i use to make the windowns go up and down... but you still have to run wires from the driver side door to all the remaining doors... remember you have the master switch on the driver side that controls all the other doors.. so wires have to be ran like a ****! good luck!

You do NOT have to run wires to all the remaining doors if you get the correct parts to start with. Get OEM parts from another EVO. The wiring harnesses replace the ones already in the door and plug into all the replaced parts. To get the power locks working, you must get the new red lock "brain" that is behind your steering wheel (you can see it by looking up from the floorboard). Here's the parts to buy off someone...
Door panels
Window regulators
Window motors
Wiring harnesses
Red lock "brain"
Lock assemblies (handle with 2 bars going to the lock actuator)
Then all you do is replace all the parts, plug the new harnesses in behind the kickplate and BAM...you have both FRONT doors working. The rears are a little tricky, you'll have to drill holes for the wiring to enter the car and THEN splice the wires into the front doors. Hope this helps, otherwise PM or IM me and I'll be more than happy to help you out.
